Maintaining the Standard in "Standard Unit Building Blocks"...
Commonly referred to as "old-fashioned blocks", our block sets are based on the traditionally accepted dimensional standard of 1 3/8 inches. This is the source of their common name, "Standard unit building blocks".
- Our "Unit" Blocks are manufactured using the solid, non - splintering, heavy wood known as Northern Hard Maple. (Maple is very resistant to denting).
- All surfaces are sanded smooth and all edges and corners are rounded.
- No stain, oil, lacquer or finish of any type is used.
- A damp cloth or fine sandpaper, if necessary, will remove all evidence of a child's hard use or creative artwork.
