Our Block Sets

Maintaining the "Standard" in Wooden Block Sets...

In keeping with our goal of producing the best possible wooden block sets:

• Our wooden blocks, i.e, "unit blocks", are manufactured using the solid, dent resisting, non splintering, heavy wood known as Northern Hard Maple but also referred to as Rock Maple or Sugar Maple.
• The actual "unit" is a block measuring 5-1/2" Long by 2-3/4" Wide by 1-3/8" in Height or Thickness. All other block shapes are directly proportioned to the "unit". This is the source of the common name, "Standard unit building blocks".
• Every surface of each of our wooden blocks is sanded smooth and all edges and corners are rounded.
• No stain, oil, lacquer or finish of any type is used on our wooden block sets.
• A damp cloth or fine sandpaper, if necessary, will remove all evidence of a child's hard use or creative artwork.
