The heart of this marble toy is the spiral auger manufactured in our shop and assembled inside a durable tube along with a generous supply of colorful marbles. The magic is provided by children as they convey the marbles up the spiral to the top channel where they open the gate and watch and listen as the marbles find their way through the maze back to the Archimedes screw…the action is repeated again and again. A mesmerizing educational experience for all ages from 3 years to whom knows when!!

*Archimedes, Greek Physicist & Mathematician born in the year 287 B.C., invented the screw conveyor to transport water up hill.

Its'basic design has never changed and today is in widespread use in industry to move dry bulk materials .
